Crunchy Granola!

Hello everyone! I made granola! I’m not going to lie, one of the reasons I made granola is because it looks nice in those airtight jars from Ikea. Another reason is because it’s delicious! It’s perfect as breakfast with some yoghurt, fruit and don’t forget your cuppa! Or as a healthy snack? Oh, the versatility!

Honestly, forget about buying granola. It’s so much cheaper and probably healthier to make your own. And you can personalise it according to your own taste. Add seeds and nuts or other kinds of fruits to it. Seriously, you can’t do anything wrong when making granola. It’s so easy and fast to make.

Granola
3 cups oats
1 cup almonds
1 cup walnuts
½ cup dried fruit, like acai berries, blueberries, raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup + 2 tsp brown sugar
¼ cup +2 tsp honey
¼ cup coconut oil

Preheat the oven to 160ºC.
Chop all the nuts roughly.
Mix all the dry ingredients except for the dried fruit.
Mix all the wet ingredients.
Mix in the coconut oil-honey mixture into the dry ingredients.
Place everything evenly on a lined oven tray.
Bake for 15-20 mins. Stir the granola occasionally.
Turn off the heat, sprinkle the dried fruit on top of the granola. Put the tray back into the oven for 5 mins.
Take the granola out of the oven, let it cool. When it has cooled down, break up the granola and transfer it in an airtight jar.
